A Winter Wonderland Wyoming

By miranda | March 6, 2008

Yes, as Harry wrote, we did see two ve-e-ery large bald eagles on our drive through Montana. One of them was right beside the road, munching on roadkill, ahh, what beauty nature is to behold! Montana was beautiful, in it’s barren simplicity. At first it resembled the badlands of southern Alberta, then further south it starts to look more like Kamloops-area, full of wind-whipped trees and rolling, dry hills. Once we hit Wyoming, the snow started flying, slowly at first then more and more. And with the temperature hovering just below freezing (not below zero, as I almost said in a casual conversation, but below 32F), it was a prety slushy road we were driving on. We didn’t realize quite how much until we stopped for gas and Harry had trouble opening his door due to the build-up of iced-on slush. it was quite a sight and only after we’d knocked the worst of it off did we realize it would have made a good picture. domain abuse . Oh well, I’m sure there will be no shortage of photo-ops in the next few weeks.

Tomorrow, we make it to Denver.

That kind of makes me laugh, because the last time Ryan and I saw a bald eagle it was eating roadkill. Glad to know they are eating well *L*

Nice to catch up on what stage you guys are at.
    *hugs from Alberta*
