SXSW Austin – part deux
By harry | March 15, 2008
What can I say that Miranda didn’t mention… one thing is the parties. We have got to thank the fine folks at Six Shooter Records for the info on the parties and inviting us to their party. That party was wicked… wooo hooo, the brood boys and Luke Doucet were awesome. Wendy and Shauna were very gracious. Of course the free Lone Star and tequila shooters was great but they really killed me in the long run because as 10:00 hit, I had no energy left.
One of the recommended parties was the Yard Dog party. Wow, that is totally fun, and I don’t mean becasue of the free Shiner Bock beer. This is an art shop south of the downtown past the lake, where they convert the back yard into a venue, and this is where the wicked death country bands played. The Yard Dog sits in a fantastic neighbourhood with great restaurants.
We also checked out the Canada Blast party and saw Pack A.D. and City And Colour.
We have too many stories of meeting great people to get into it now, besides, Miranda is waiting for me to finish this off so we can leave.
Later
