More meetings
By miranda | November 5, 2008
Wow, almost a month since my last post, as I was reminded by my Aunt who follows family news religiously. Sophie is now 3 1/2 months old, and Harry and I are still sane (or at least no crazier than we were). She’s a good sleeper and has been since the beginning, so we’re not so sleep-deprived as some. Though with the time change she now gets up earlier cause she doesn’t know that 8 o’clock is now 7 o’clock.
We’ve gotten to see a lot more of the family recently, though for an unfortunate reason. My Aunt Gina passed away at the end of October, much of the Rose side of the family gathered for her funeral this past Monday. A sad reason to gather, but we got to see many loving faces come together and support one another.
Tonight Harry, Sophie and I are flying out to the coast to meet up with family members in that vicinity. Thanks to some of them coming here in the past month, it won’t be a first meeting for all, but there will be several new faces for Sophie none the less. Notably Jenny, Sandy, Terry, Todd and Callum, we’re hoping.
Developmentaly, Sophie is doing great. She smiles and laughs lots (hopefully she’ll be as much a smiler as Griffin is!). She’s also started rolling around, the first steps to mobility that will cause our living room to get an overhaul. She’s growing and has a healthy layer of baby fat but her features still have a delicate look to them, and she’s still pretty pettite. Looking at the size of her feet though makes one wonder just how long it will be before she’s taller than her Mummy. 🙂
