Back from B.C.

Well the trip to the Lower Mainland went really well. Sophie traveled well and impressed everyone wherever she went, even strangers walking by on the street. We got to see even more people than we’d hoped by including a trip to Tofino, where we stayed with Monica (cousin Rod’s wife) and had dinner with her and Cam. We also met up with Oriana and her beau for dinner in Vancouver. We wanted to go to Vij’s, an amazing Indian restaurant, but the wait was over an hour for a table. A delicious second choice turned out to be Rambli (?) right next door, the sister restaurant to Vij’s. We ate a yummy dinner that we topped off at a desert place that serves excellent light, creamy cheesecake.
The weather was touch and go, being mostly “go” when we were in Vancouver, so we didn’t get the long walk in Stanley Park that we’d hoped for. We did walk down to the beach by Marian’s place in West Van on our last day there, and we had a gorgeous sunshiny day on the Sunshine Coast our last day of the trip. We took some great pictures on the beach there, Sandy shooting so that the whole Annett family could be together. Some of these shots have been uploaded and can be viewed in the gallery.
Sophie started locomoting even more this week, resulting in her naps now being taken safely in the confines of her crib. While we were in Victoria she started pulling her knees up under her, though her face was still buried in the blanket in front of her. She’s rolling and rocking all over the place and Harry and I are planning a living room overhaul to get it creepy crawly ready. Hopefully it will be done in time!
